音楽は、形のない芸術です。
だからこそ、ときに彫刻と出会い、自然と響き合い、新たな世界を描くことがあります。
私が近年取り組んでいるテーマの一つが、「ホルンと彫刻」です。
今回のリサイタルでは、彫刻家・片山博詞氏による《ALPHA》と《OMEGA》を軸にプログラムを構成しました。会場には実際の彫刻作品を展示し、音楽とともにご鑑賞いただきます。
《ALPHA》は、ジャン＝ミシェル・ドュファイ作曲《Alpha》から着想を得て制作された彫刻です。その後、《OMEGA》が制作され、「始まり」と「終わり」を象徴する二つの作品が生まれました。
高木日向子《Messenger ― 雲に関する四つの考察》では、「雲」を人と自然、そして目には見えない世界をつなぐ「使者」として描いています。
坂田尚樹《陽炎に立つ》は、《OMEGA》から着想を得て委嘱した世界初演作品です。彫刻に宿る生命の力や揺らぎが、ホルンとピアノによる響きとして描かれます。
最後は、宮沢賢治作詞・作曲《星めぐりの歌》をお届けします。

Music is an art without physical form.
Precisely because it is invisible, it has the power to encounter sculpture, resonate with nature, and create new worlds.
One of the central themes of my recent artistic work is the relationship between the horn and sculpture.
This recital is built around the sculptures ALPHA and OMEGA by sculptor Hiroshi Katayama. The sculptures themselves will be displayed in the concert hall, inviting the audience to experience the dialogue between visual art and music.
ALPHA was created in response to Jean-Michel Defaye’s composition of the same name. It was later followed by OMEGA, forming a pair of sculptures symbolizing “the beginning” and “the end.”
In Messenger – Four Reflections on Clouds, composer Hinako Takagi portrays clouds as messengers connecting humanity, nature, and the unseen world.
Naoki Sakata’s Standing on the Mirage is a world-premiere commission inspired by OMEGA. Through the horn and piano, the work explores the vitality and subtle fluctuations embodied in the sculpture.
The recital concludes with Song of the Star Circuit by Kenji Miyazawa.
Music is an art without physical form. It can encounter sculpture, invite us to look toward the sky, and lead our thoughts to the stars.
I hope today’s performance will allow each of you to discover your own inner landscape.
